Splitting & Joining PDF Files

I have a large amount of 2-sided forms that I want to scan into my computer,
My printer has an automatic feeder, so I can scan them all at once,
My problem is that I then get all the forms in one large PDF file, is there any way I can split this file so every 2 pages become a separate PDF file?

Just saw today, you can do the same with Adobe Acrobat, when splitting a file you can choose how many pages should be split into a separate file.
