@techwiz how is it now?
Outlook search
-
Hi everyone, Outlook in office365 has enrolled an update where it puts the search in outlook above the ribbon instead under the ribbon above the emails, which is very annoying and also doesn’t give the right results… Does anyone have a way around it to get it back where it was?
I tried reverting to office 2019 and disabling updates but has now enforced me to update it PLEASE HELP
thanks -
@Btech Please post a screenshot

@Hacker26 it used to be here

@Btech Thanks for that. So far there is this: https://www.bruceb.com/2020/05/the-outlook-search-bar-is-changing-whether-you-like-it-or-not-you-wont-like-it/#:~:text=The shortcut to start a,It’s just a search box.
I can suggest you to install the latest office which is 2019 but not the 365 version… I’ll have a look later on if I can figure out a solution myself but I highly doubt it… -

@Hacker26 thanks for your reply I did install office 2019 which worked with the subscription from office 365 (actually useful to know…) and it was actually amazing but after a couple of days it forced me to update the latest update which included the new search, bec I had the updates disabled on the 2019 so I had no other option but to update so I reverted to office365
@Chocolate the issue is not only the location but the results are different as Microsoft is trying to help us get more qualified or accurate results…
as you can see in the websites you posted i’m not the only one getting frustrated from it

@Btech I can give you a tool which will install office 2019 as a VL product and set it to be activated via my KMS server… That way all future updates will be in 2019 and not 365 version
-
@Hacker26 which means I will be able to cancel the 365 subscriptions . . .

@Btech That’s totally up to you…

@Hacker26 doesn’t hurt to have such a tool can always come into handy…
