Samsung Tab A 2019 Storage filling up after System Reset

  • Hi Guys

I’ve got a Samsung Tablet A 2019 here and I performed a Reset via the preboot environment as the user forgot his password. The user says that the OS and system files took up about 3.5GB of storage (out of 32GB) of the device when he started using it out of the box. However after the reset, the internal Storage raised to 7GB. I performed another reset via the UI Settings of the device and the storage raised to 9GB! I tried ti wipe the cache partition but that doesn’t seem to help. It seems that some sort of data get’s either saved or cached to the root partition…
Has anyone of you ever heard of such an issue? Has anyone maybe got a solution handy?

  • @Hacker26 Very strange, is the phone rooted?

  • @TechWiz Nope it’s brandnew and never been rooted.
Do you have an idea what the solution to that problem could be? I can send you a bit more detailed info abpout the storage of application and OS…
