Remote Access when PC is locked?
-
I have a computer at work that I sometimes need to connect from home, I currently use Any Desk my problem is that if the computer is locked (which I like it is when I am not around) I can’t access the computer.
Is there any remote access software that can give me access even if the remote computer is locked? -
Lock or Sleep?
Because I tested it, and with Anydesk installed and Unattended Access set up I could connect and login with no issue when the PC is locked.
-
that did the trick I disabled sleep and now it works.

You got your solution already, Just FYI you can turn on and off a PC remotely, using Wake On LAN, Team Viewer has it builtin.

Good to know!
I always assumed it could only be done from another machine within the same LAN.
Edit: Probably using this tecnique -

Edit: Probably using this tecniqueYour assumption is indeed correct that by default this will only work from a device on the same LAN. But (just as with your own WOL setup) you can setup Port Forwarding (and possibly Dynamic DNS) to use it from the internet.
You can check out details in TeamViewer’s detailed guide: https://dl.teamviewer.com/docs/en/TeamViewer-Manual-Wake-on-LAN-en.pdf

@Knaper-Yaden thanks.
So it’s not even using anything fancy, just plain port-forwarding to the broadcast address of the LAN.
Do you have any experience with it? Do you know if common routers allow this? -

Do you have any experience with it? Do you know if common routers allow this?This is a normal standard Port Forwarding. If the router allows Port Forwarding then this is part of it.
